Behind the Work

I paint
to connect.

To people, to memories, to imagination, and to worlds that sometimes lie beyond words.

Gal Disegni is an artist and visual creator working in the space between realism, imagination, and vision. In his work he seeks not just a beautiful image, but a connection to the person, the story, and the feeling the piece leaves behind.

Gal has been painting since childhood, and painted his first commissioned portraits at age 14. For over 20 years he worked in design, advertising, and visual creation. Those years sharpened his eye for composition, color, material, and detail - and above all, for an image's ability to evoke emotion and tell a story.

Today he creates original work in a range of techniques and mediums, including graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, pastel, and acrylic, on paper, canvas, wood, and walls. Alongside his personal art he creates commissioned pieces, guides people through creative processes, and leads workshops that make it possible to encounter art freely, professionally, and personally.

Every piece begins with listening. Sometimes it emerges from a person or a memory, sometimes from a dream, a figure, or an inner world. Either way, the goal remains the same: to create work that has depth, presence, and a life of its own.

"Art is a way to get closer to what we feel, even before there are words for it."

You can encounter the work through original art, a personal commission, or a shared creative process. Every path begins with curiosity and a simple conversation.
